Tartan Day

WHEREAS...	it is important to recognize the multicultural nature of Ontario, and
WHEREAS...	the Scottish Community has made a significant contribution to the economic, agricultural and cultural well being of the Province and, in particular, Scarborough, and
WHEREAS...	April 6^th is a day of historical significance to the Scottish community since it marks the anniversary of the declaration of Scottish independence in 1320,

I hereby proclaim April 6, 1994 as "Tartan Day" in the City of Scarborough.
