Guyana: Its Culture, Its People
Art Exhibition

Bruce reports that there were some very interesting pieces in the "Guyana: Its Culture, Its People" Art Exhibition featuring the Guyana Women's Artists Association, a Guyana-based group. During his tour of the exhibition at the Scarborough Civic Centre in July, Bruce was very pleased to be introduced to Jean McCowan, a very talented artist now living in Calgary (only the second time he's ever "accidently" met another "McCowan"!). The other Canadian / local artists showing were Syble Douglas, Joan Muss and Irma Isaacs. The other artists were from Guyana. The Exhibition was sponsored by the Toronto Chapter of the Bishops' High School Alumni Association. For further information, call Jennifer Singh at 291-9848.
