St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church
Scarborough
Cropshare Program

St. Andrew's has been supporting the Cropshare Program of Knox Presbyterian Church in Teeswater, Ontario, for the past five years. Sixty acres of soybeans were grown in 2001, in part through the $1,765.70 contribution from St. Andrew's. Seed, fertilizer, crop insurance, land rent and shipping are some of the costs of growing and harvesting crops. The labour and the use of equipment were donated. Net proceeds from the sale of this crop were sent to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.

Information regarding the overall project is available from Presbyterian World Service and Development at www.presbyterian.ca/pwsd and from Canadian Foodgrains Bank at www.foodgrainsbank.ca. St. Andrew's web site is www.home.vastcom.net/St.Andrews.
